EDUCATION

UAP Old Mutual and Faulu have been part of enabling positive futures for bright students in primary, secondary and university schools. Here are some of the success stories. We will continue to empower our youth with education. We look forward to being part of making a difference in many more lives.

Starehe Boys' Centre in Starehe, Ziwani area of Nairobi is a harbour for high quality education. Founded in 1959  - with only two huts and no capital - the school has provided needy boys with free education for many years. Four decades later, Starehe is a haven for good quality education and serves 1 200 pupils.  Nearly three quarters of these pupils are boarders. A hardworking and promising boy has hope, the chance  of a good education and homely care at Starehe. Our boys have continued to perform well and we look forward to being part of making a difference in many more lives.

Starehe Girls’ Centre, which is located in Njathaini-Bustani Estate off Kiambu Road, is a charity and a national high school for girls. It was founded in January 2005 and started  with just 72 bright but disadvantaged girls in its pioneer class. These girls are from every county in Kenya.
